Volunteering at GHE

With all WCPSS schools starting the 2020-2021 school year under Plan B/Virtual Academy, visitor and volunteer access to the school will be significantly restricted. School administration and GHE PTA will share information on volunteer registration and on-campus volunteer opportunities as guidance changes.

At Green Hope you will see parents reading to children in classrooms, eating lunch with their children in the cafeteria, helping with classroom activities, and volunteering at school-wide events. This connection to the community enriches our children’s experience, the parent’s experience, and the community as a whole.

Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents and become more involved in the Green Hope community! Children do better in school when they see their parents involved in the school. There are opportunities to fit every schedule and every little bit of help creates a positive impact on the educational experience of your child. Please consider giving from your time and talents.

Register with Wake County

Per Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) policy, all volunteers must register with WCPSS. This is the same registration that you complete to volunteer in your child's classroom or on field trips.

Visit the GHE Media Center during school hours to register on the computers and bring identification with you. Remember, volunteers must reactivate their registration each school year.

Signing In

When visiting Green Hope Elementary to volunteer in the classroom or for PTA events, please report directly to the office and sign in as a volunteer to obtain a visitor's badge.

Past Events

Take a look at just a few school events that would not have been possible without the help of our amazing PTA volunteers.
