We have so many thanks it's hard to know where to start. First and foremost, thank you to our families and community for supporting our school, donating and volunteering. We raised $36,745! Not only did you support with donations, but you came out in record numbers to cheer the students on!
We hope your children gained confidence in reaching the classroom and school goals. The classes learned that through teamwork they can achieve much more than they can alone. We hope the fun run gave the classes reason to experience extra joy together, with such examples as: popsicle parties, camping party, building forts all day, wearing fuzzy socks instead of shoes, dressing up their teacher, throwing pies in their teachers face, no homework and extra recess, to name a few.
Thank you to our Turkey Trot leader and organizer, Kelsey Burleson, and our staff. Special thanks to: Lori Arbour, Anu Belpu, Mary Buckley, Margaret Coleman, Courtney Chiong, Sue Crabtree, Katie Gardner, Patricia Gehrett, Hannah Hunt, Jennifer Kelly, Laura Lackey, Meghan Patterson, and Belinda Williams. These incredible people ran the Turkey Trot daily while also teaching our children, and we are so grateful for their leadership and service.
Thank you to the Parent Teacher Association for all of their hard work working along side the teachers and behind the scenes: Laura Bartoli, Carianne Davis, Andrea Gatt, Jodi Mello, Mariahna Moore, Suzanne Robottom, and Kimberly Rost. Thank you to Jeremy Cleveland for leading the pep rally, and to the Green Hope High School dance and cheer teams for making it the most fun pep rally GHE has ever seen! Thank you to our DJ and GHE parent, DJ LXE, for pumping up the jams at Turkey Trot and booking with us last minute after the rain delay.
We couldn't do it without the support of Principal Walker and Assistant Principal Lombardo. Thank you for listening to our ideas and always supporting them.
Because of your participation our school earned a Day of Play this Tuesday, Nov. 26!
